The work requires the viewer to walk around the piece in order to observe and animate a visual transformation or blending between the two elements seen in a pair of mirrors that divide the discrete, but related, cases.
The two forms were assembled using my own head as a former or template and each bears wooden handles on either their interior or exterior.
It may add something to the interpretation of the work to know a couple of biographical facts contemporary to the work:part of my employment at the time was to rubber stamp countless envelopes for the local post office and my father was gravely ill with lung cancer.
